Ron Don Isidro is a tribute to our founder, Mr. Isidro Bordas, who started Isidro Bordas S.A. in 1935. As a true DOMINICAN RUM, it is distilled from Dominican grown sugar cane and aged in our own aging deposit here in Santiago, Dominican Republic, in ex-bourbon barrels which are treated beforehand. This entitles Ron Don Isidro to carry the “DOMINICAN RUM” denomination of origin.

We are devoted to a consistent, superior quality in every bottle of Ron Don Isidro and we are proud to tell you that the rum comes from a single cask (not blended) that was aged for 8 years, every single drop. Please keep in mind that, due to our weather and temperatures, spirits age about 3 times faster here in Dominican Republic, so those 8 years translate to a lot more when compared to other spirits.

After we take it out of the barrel, we finish the rum with our proprietary process which was passed down through generations to enhance its taste and palate. No sugar, caramel or color is directly added to the rum. Its rich brown and reddish color is completely natural from the wood.
